Back to the Roots – Mushroom Kit Giveaway!

in Giveaway

Happy Valentine’s Day Week! Happy Lunar New Year! Happy happy week…

Today I’m giving away something I’ve loved for a long, long time: a mushroom kit from Back to the Roots. That’s right, my fwiendz, today I’m giving you mushrooms. Oyster mushrooms, actually.

This kit is kind of amazing. All you do is water the goods (inside the box) and in about 10 days you have 1 1/2 pounds of fresh, beautiful oyster mushrooms. SO COOL!

If I had 1 1/2 pounds of oysters, I’d make this pasta dish with brown butter and fried sage, or this white mushroom lasagna…or maybe this mushroom risotto.

To enter, simply leave a comment below answering the following question:

1. What’s your favorite 90′s movie? Here are a few of my favorites: Walking and Talking, Reality Bites, Before Sunrise/Before Sunset, Dazed and Confused, Beauty and the Beast…you get the idea! Annnnd go…

Giveaway ends Tuesday (2/13) at midnight. I’ll choose a winner and post the person’s name, along with their favorite 90′s movie. Good luck!

xo

Adrianna

{Fine print: Back to the Roots provided one mushroom kit for me to give away to one of you lovely people. No compensation was exchanged. That’s all!}

Update!: Loryn is our winner. Her favorite 90s movies: “Pump up the Volume! and Heathers! and Singles” I mean…very, very good choices. Singles is one of my all-time favorites, too. Thanks for playing, everyone!

But for the sake of this great giveaway, and in the interest of time:

I’d be so happy to win. I’ve considered buying these very same mushroom kits – I am a huge fan…

As for 90′s movies I am drawing a blank…I don’t generally rank my movies by date… but here goes: Pulp Fiction, What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, Kids, Falling Down.

The 90s were full of gems but I have to go with my all time, timeless favorite (of which I have no shame): Titanic

TOO many good movies! I loved Clueless (for the clothes ie the fashion taste of a teenager in the 90′s…), Empire Records (for the soundtrack), Titanic (cried for days… oh to be young and silly again…), Shakespear in Love (simply because it was beautiful.)…

But my favorite was definitely Romeo & Juliet with C.Danes & L.DiCaprio. Everything about it was amazing! Watched it at least 100 times…

Clueless! It will always be Clueless. Don’t get me wrong I love all of the movies you listed but Clueless just makes me want to put on some jammies, grab that dinner for one pasta, and hang out on my couch.

Reality Bites was my cultural, coming-of-age, touchstone. It was everything I wanted growing up to be about. Grunge forever!

…A difficult choice. Forest Gump was so very good, as was Shawshank- but my fav has to be Legends of the Fall. Oh my, Brad Pitt was a dream in that one!
Would love an opportunity to grow mushrooms!!! But either way, your blog is a gift to me whenever I read it so keep posting! Happy Valentine’s.

King Ralph – great family movie. Still makes me giggle.
I wanted to say High Fidelity but it turns out that’s from 2000
