This is too funny! Ina is my absolute favorite FN chef but you're right, it was too sweet and buttery. I made the axact same changes you made and I also added 1/2 cup of pepitas.

I've been on the hunt for a good soft granola bar recipe. If these ended your hunt, than hopefully it'll do the same for me, thank you! I also like the addition of flaxseed. They sound delicious and I cannot wait to try them out myself.

Had to laugh at your store-bought granola bar journey. Been on that one myself. These look and sound delicious.

The coconut flavor really isn't that noticeable, so you might want to give it a try. However, if you're really turned off by the idea, I would just substitute it with another cup of oatmeal.

As for the fruit, any dried fruit should work, so use whatever you like best. I've thought about trying it with dried apples or mango, but let me know what you come up with!

I've been looking for a good granola recipe- and I trust you guys! If I hate coconut will this recipe turn me off? Can it be omitted/substituted out? Any other fruits you'd recommend?
